About MBA - Capital Markets

The MBA Capital markets programme was developed on the back of a concord between the BSE’s stock exchange Education and research services and NMIMS University.

The Capital markets programme is designed to create a pool of focussed professionals with a skill set that enables them to exceed expectations of different segments in the financial services industry. The programme’s curriculum is designed by thought leaders and industry experts at the BSE and proficient and experienced visiting and full-time faculty at NMIMS University in a manner that incorporates relevant scholastic supplements and practical experience. The city of Mumbai, which is the centre of gravity for India’s financial markets, provides the perfect backdrop for learning progress.

The program is held in classes equipped with top class facilities and faculty, supported by a rich library of books, journals and IT software. In months to come live data feed from BSE would be available to the participants. The program is unique in the sense that it integrates learning with conceptual knowledge, contemporary inputs, and information technology. Exercises, assignments, case studies, classroom discussions, testing of models, research projects etc are all be done with real data, even on-line data in certain cases. Students are provided with opportunities to trade on live terminals that enable them to understand the nuances of the market. Industry participants are also actively involved in the course as they play key roles as Faculties and Mentors to the students.
